Strengthening of bilateral relations and cooperation between Norway and the Czech Republic, exchanging experience and familiarizing social partners in the Czech Republic with Norwegian good practice in the field of social dialogue - One of the most important aspects of the project is to build the strong bilateral partnership between stakeholders from the Czech Republic and Norway. This will ultimately ensure the sustainability of the project results.

Project value creation

The project is designed in such a way to create sustainable result and generate value for the social partners. Ultimately, the effective social dialogue and cooperation will have tremendous impact on bettering workers conditions and their impact on the decision-making in the construction sector. On top of this, the project will generate strong social value via introducing new effective ways of workers cooperation, collaboration between the employers' representatives and creating more inclusive environment through transferring Norwegian best practices in utilizing social dialogue instruments and ideas developed during thematic working sessions planned in the project. The project will generate value not only for the stakeholders directly engaged but for the wider audience. First of all, the manual and training materials developed for the workers of the construction sector will be easily adapted to the other sectors. Other interested parties can use experience of this project to design similar frameworks for cooperation.

Additionally, the project is a perfect combination of the capacity-building activities and awareness raising information campaigns which will ensure that the greater audience is informed on the importance of social dialogue and has access to the Norwegian practices. The project promoter and partners hope to create a value that will ultimately impact decision-makers of the other organisations to intensify their efforts to improve the quality of social dialogue in the Czech Republic. The project will create a strong bilateral cooperation in the field of social dialogue between the biggest business confederation from Norway and Construction business confederation from Czechia. The project is environmentally friendly. The partners will ensure recycling materials are used. The green project management procedures will be implemented (electronic flow of information and documents, reasonable energy use, duplex printing etc).

Bilateral relations

Does this project strengthen bilateral relations between the Donor States and the Beneficiary State? The project significantly strengthens bilateral relations via stimulation of cooperation between Czech & Norwegian social partners. Since NHO unites business entities from almost all the sectors, it opens more opportunities for reinforcing the ties between Czech and Norwegian social partners. Additionally, it positively affects developing business and economic cooperation between two countries. The two organisations made efficient networking during the preparation of the proposal and this project will deepen the bilateral cooperation. For ABE it is fundamental to receive the good practice from Norwegians and broaden its understanding of Nordic social models. Bilateral exchange of experience and integration of Norwegian expertise into activities of Czech social partners will decrease disparities within the EEA. NHO involves its affiliated Federation of the Norwegian Construction Industries from Norway.
The Czech Embassy in Norway has already approved its participation in the project activities that further reinforce the bilateral cooperation between social partners at the states’ level. The representatives of the embassies will be invited to the study visit in Norway that contributes to improving the cooperation rooted in the project. The representatives of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Prague will be invited to events planned in the Czech Republic. The stakeholders will further discuss the partnership opportunities in the field of social dialogue that deepens bilateral cooperation. The involvement of diverse players from the Czech Republic (including Partner - OS STAVBA) and Norway will offer the opportunity to build bilateral networks that will strengthen overall political relations and develop the potential for further cooperation beyond the project. The financial contribution of Norway and the substantive value of the bilateral cooperation will be widely communicated to target groups and the public.
