Næringslivets Hovedorganisasjon (NHO) - Oslo, Norway

NHO is Norway’s largest organisation for employers and the leading business lobbyist. It unites over 29,700 companies starting from small family-owned businesses to multinational companies representing different sectors. The NHO is the leading voice of business and industry in Norway. Having expert knowledge and an extensive business network, the NHO plays an important and constructive role in Norwegian society. NHO has been a project partner in many similar projects. The organistaion implemented social dialogue projects in partnership with BIA and CITUB (Bulgaria), BCCI (Bulgaria), MGYOSZ (Hungary) and Lewiatan (Poland). Currently, NHO works with HUP (Croatia), Estonian Employers Confederation, LPSK (Lithuania), Concordia (Romania) and RUZ (Slovakia).

 

Besides, NHO will involve The Federation of the Norwegian Construction Industries (BNL) in the project activities in Norway. Therefore, NHO has an extensive network and experience working in the framework of the social dialogue projects with European Trade unions, confederations and other social partners. The promoter believes that NHO’s experience, expertise and distinctive network will bring significant added value to the project outcomes and outputs in a long-term perspective. The project promoter has a good bilateral network with this organisation and is willing to enhance its bilateral cooperation with NHO. Thus the promoter believes this project is a good opportunity to share experience, expertise and maintain bilateral cooperation agreements. P.S. NHO is exempted from the rule to provide a declaration on a clean criminal record.

Trade union of building workers of the Czech republic (OS STAVBA)

The history of trade unions in construction sector began in 1889 and the Construction Union of the Czech Republic was established in 1992 as the legal successor of OS Stavba (federal), which was transformed from ROH in February 1990. OS STAVBA is the only organization representing employees working in construction, building materials and mining of building materials in the Czech Republic. AT the EU -level OS STAVBA is affiliated to European Federation of Woodworkers and Builders (EFBWW). At national level, OS STAVBA is affiliated to the largest trade union confederation in the Czech Republic CMKOS. The main mission of OS STAVBA is to promote the interests of employees (wages, working hours, holidays, health and safety, etc.), while concluding a sectoral collective agreement for the entire construction industry (the social partner is the Association of Building Entrepreneurs - SPS). OS STAVBA participated in several social dialogue projects: Bipartite Dialogue in Sectors - focusing on OSH; Joint Action of the Social Partners to Prepare the Sector for Changes in the Pension System-Stages I and II -Social partners' joint action on key sectoral issues", Strengthening bipartite dialogue in sectors-social dialogue in the construction sector The representatives of OS STAVBA were involved in the projects implemented by their umbrella organisation CMKOS within the Norwegian funds.

 

The main roles in the project: (1) delegating representatives and relevant trade union staff that will attend the training; (2) recruitment of representatives and trade union members who will join the project events; (3) communicating the project, its results and financial contribution of Norway to implementation of the project to representatives of workers of construction sector across the Czech Republic; (4) appointing a communication officer who will contribute to the dissemination and visibility activities.
