The beneficiary of the project
Association of Building Entrepreneurs of the Czech Republic (SPS- ABE) - Prague, Czech Republic
The Association of Building Entrepreneurs of the Czech Republic was re-established in 1990 to outline the needs and interests of the building sector and enforce these following up the activities, which had more than 100 years of tradition in the Czech Republic. ABE is a member of the Confederation of Employers and Entrepreneurs´ Associations, the Council of Economic and Social Agreement of the Czech Republic, and FIEC. ABE strives to contribute to a favourable business environment in the economic policy of the state and regions and legislation. ABE has 1300 members that represent more than 75% of the building capacities of the Czech Republic. The members of ABE are construction firms, manufacturers of building materials and products for constructions, engineering organisations, business organisations, guilds, smaller professional unions, and associations. The ABE is a legitimate partner of the government as well as the trade unions.
The headquarters is based in Prague, it is the seat of Directorate General as well as the technical department, sales department, legal department, international department, economic department and press department. For direct contact with the member firms, the Association has set up the regional offices in all regional cities of the CZ. ABE manages 10 expert working groups, among others Social Issues Group and Legislative Group. The main future activities will be focused on organizational development, increasing the number of members and the influence of the organisation on policymaking to shape favourable conditions for reinforcement of the construction industry in the Czech Republic.
